If you are reading this page, then we are working together in an advising relationship. Pretty exciting…

And first I need to share a few expectations.

1) I am not a full-time coach

There are lots of coaches out there who make their living solely off coaching, but that’s not me.

My coaching constitutes a large part of my time every week but I also have a few other projects and businesses I'm a part of. I do this so I can stay sharp and relevant when it comes to the skills I can help you with.

I coach because I can help people.

I bring a unique perspective from my past experience, from the challenges I face each day, and from the lifelong learning that is the cornerstone of what I do.

2) I aim to get back to you as soon as possible

I'll always do my best to reply in full, or acknowledge the receipt of your communication in as short a span of time as possible

3) Come Prepared

While we will usually work out a plan of action in advance of going forward in our relationship, every time we have a meeting, feel free to come with a list of topics or challenges that you are frustrated with.

What do you want to learn?
What is irritating you?
What can you just not figure out?

Come with topics and questions, and that will help us make the most of our time.

4) Send topics 48 hours in advance to improve call quality

If you can, create a running Google Doc where you drop all of our call agendas, and then send me that before each call. That would be awesome.

If I can see your challenges prior to the call, I will be able to give more value and be more efficient with our time.

If you don’t prep… then we spend 20 minutes understanding the problem and 10 minutes on the solution…

With prep, we spend 5 minutes clarifying the problem and 25 minutes on the solution…

You get the idea :)

5) Want to succeed? Take massive action

What I’ve noticed is that there is one trend among “Successful Students”.

They take action…

They don’t twiddle their thumbs, overthink it, or make excuses…

They just do it.

Advisors and coaches love working with me because I take massive action. I hear advice, and then I dive in and I take action on it.

If you want to get results, take action.

6) One no-show is allowed. Any no-shows after that are not refunded.

My schedule is busy and I value my time. If you no show one call, I will allow you to reschedule. If you no show an additional call in the future it will not be reimbursed.

7) Get to know me and how I work

I created a “Guide to Working with Conor”. This details more on my personality type and how we can best work together.

8) Let’s play some jazz (but let’s not actually play jazz)

When we make a coaching arrangement, it’s really a strong set of guidelines, rather than a set-in-stone contract. If we agree to e.g. 2 calls per month, but something comes up suddenly and you need more time with me in a hurry, I’ll be there for you.
